Number of logs divided into = 10 1/2. (Change to multiplication by reciprocal of 1/2) This gives, 10 x 2 = 20. Hence, the wooden log is divided into 20 half inch logs. Question: Multiple choice question (Pick the correct option.) What is the answer for the division between the following? 15 3/2 = --------- a) 10 b) 12 c) 15 d) None of these. Correct answer: option a. Explanation: Here 3/2 is the fraction and 15 is the whole number. Given 15 3/2 (Change to multiplication by the reciprocal of 3/2.) This gives 15 x 2/3 = 30/3. (The GCF of 30 and 3 is 3) So dividing by 3 for the numerator and the denominator. (30 3)/(3 3) = 10. Hence answer = 10.

Solution 2:- From the problem we know Total number of pen and pencils purchased = 16 Let the number of pens bought = x Pens Pencils Total Number x (Assume) 16 -x 16 Cost 8x 1.50( 16 x) 8x + 1.50(16 x) According to the given condition, total cost is $50 So, we get 8x + 1.50(16 x) = 50 8x + 24 1.50 x = 50 (combining like terms) 6.50 x = 50 -24 x = 26/6.50 x = 2600/65 = 4 Therefore, Number of pens = 4 Number of pencils = (16 x) = 16 4 = 12

But to get from A to B, taxis are the most recommended type of transport. From the new town to the Atlas Mountains, taxis provide a valuable service. You can get around town for just a couple of quid. But before you get in a taxi, make sure they have a meter and that it’s running when your journey begins. This is the best way to ensure that you’ll get a fair price. Similarly, make sure you ask how much it’ll cost for the journey and nicely ask the driver to start the meter.There are two types of taxis in Marrakech. There are small or big taxis.The small taxis are beige. Generally, a driver can accept two or three passengers. Any more than that and you’ll need to look for a bigger cab. A typical trip will cost between 10 and 20 Dirhams (around £1 or £2) but the minimum price will never be less than 6 Dirhams. You also need to know that the cost of the trip is increased by around £1 in the evenings. These small taxis are a practical way of getting around Marrakech.To get out of the city and visit the Majorelle Gardens or the Palmeraie, you’ll need to opt for bigger taxis.  You can often find these bigger taxis waiting for passengers at the airport or outside hotels and they’re looking to pick up tourists. They don’t have a meter so you’ll need to negotiate your price before getting in. Similarly, the drivers are immediately going to have an idea of your budget based on whether you give them directions to luxury hotels, boutique hotels, hostels, or a guesthouse so you might want to check rates and the lowest prices to get into the city before telling them exactly which hotel in Marrakech you want to go to.Before you know it, you can be enjoying mint tea and some Moroccan cuisine on a roof terrace with a view of a beautiful minaret but keep in mind that you can’t expect the same rates as with the small taxis. However, the bigger taxis can take you outside of the city to places like the Agafay Desert and the Ouzoud Falls or a nother city like Essaouira, for example. There are around 30 different routes and a ticket will cost you around 30p.  Most of the stops can be found near Jemma el-Fna. Lines 1, 3, and 8 go to the bus station and train station.The Ikhlass Card is a good idea for those spending a few days in Marrakech. It costs around £5 and can be topped up with a balance to be used for bus journeys. These trips cost less and paying for individual bus tickets.Just like most other touristy cities, there’s also the bus tour. This bus can be used to see all of Marrakech’s tourist sites for around £10 a ticket. Leading on Opportunity â€" The Opportunity Task Force’s call to action - Heart Math Tutoring Leading on Opportunity â€" The Opportunity Task Force’s call to action Leading on Opportunity â€" The Opportunity Task Force’s call to action March 31, 2017 By Emily Elliott Alarmingly, Charlotte and Atlanta ranked 50th out of 50 in economic mobility among the largest U.S. cities in a 2013 Harvard / UC Berkley study. A $400,000 report summarizing 18 months of research by Charlotte’s Opportunity Task Force was released last Monday 3/27/17. This 97-page document outlines 21 strategies and over 80 recommendations for our community. Here are a few points: The report mentions the value of students having “Life Navigators” as early as 7th grade and career awareness as early as 3rd grade. Speakers at Mondayspresentation referenced “an army of volunteers” and emphasized what a positive force social capital is on our community when we proactively build it. Public education reform was largely excluded, for purposes stated in the report, aside from encouraging CMS to be bold in its school assignment goals and to ensure the quality of a high-school diploma. According the report, 70% of CMS graduates entering CPCC require remediation in math and/or reading before they can take college-level classes. We should be proud of our community’s efforts to double the literacy rate to 80% by 2025 through Read Charlotte, hailed in the report for its systems-level approach and impact. Though little attention in the report was given to math skills, I am confident that the community will also leverage research indicating that early math skills are strong predictors of future success across subjects.
